Enterprising Ethiopia works with young people to help alleviate their poverty by giving them the skills and entrepreneurial initiative to get the jobs that do exist and to create jobs by starting their own growth businesses. 

This website details the various initiatives that Enterprising Ethiopia is running. The current main initiative is NACUE Ethiopia developing Enterprise clubs with over 4500 members in 17 public Universities. It is also the platform for the Entrepreneurs to share experience within the organisation and the wider world. Offers of support and comments are most welcome.

Partnership  with  kingston university (UK)

In 2010 Enterprising Ethiopia worked in collaboration with Kingston University in the UK. They offered to fund three of their enterprise students to travel to Ethiopia to allow them to share their knowledge whilst also learning about the economy of Ethiopia.

The video to the left documents their time in Ethiopia, what they learnt and how they were able to help out in enterprise workshops accross the country.

Since March 2011 we have worked with

  • 1125 participants in 5 cities.
  • They have created 120 business.
  • Another 369 getting formal jobs.

We are working with young people across Ethiopia, equipping them with the skills that they need to become successful Entrepreneurs or to succeed in emerging labour markets.
Sabish Stefanos, 37, I am 37 years and completed my training with Alchemy World in 2012.
Before my training with Alchemy World I had no idea about business, I failed my businesses. But after learning in Alchemy World failing is not failing by itself. Today, even if I fail I do not stop trying. I have become more visionary; I have learned about entrepreneurship and how to build a profitable business.
Biruk Yesetla. I am 19 years old.
The IT and entrepreneurship course with Alchemy is helping me very much to increase my business and to attract more customers.
Meseret Misalew. I finished my training with Alchemy World in 2011
It is hard to be a mother, a wife and a businesswoman. But I tolerate it. It is an old dream of mine and it makes me happy. The teaching of Alchemy World should be continued and given to other students also. If they get a little money as soon as they get the training hopefully they will start their own business.
